Maja Blanca con Mais
Ingredients:
4 cups coconut milk, preferably fresh coconut milk
3/4 cup cornstarch
1 can condensed milk
3/4 cup fresh milk or evaporated milk
3/4 cup granulated sugar
140 g corn kernels
Preparation:
- Pour the coconut milk in a cooking pot and bring to a boil.
- Add the sugar and the condensed milk, then stir until all the ingredients are evenly distributed.
- Simmer for 8 minutes
- Combine the fresh milk and cornstarch then whisk until the cornstarch is diluted.
- Pour the milk and cornstarch mixture and the corn kernels in the cooking pot and stir thoroughly.
- Stir constantly until the mixture reaches your desired thickness.
- Pour the mixture in a serving tray then flatten the top.
- Let it cool and refrigerate.
